Photoshop Mobile is rubbish! I’m not sure if any of you have used Photoshop mobile for the Android and iPhone but if you’re thinking about it, don’t. It si absolutely utterly rubbish and a lazy attempt on Adobe’s record. If then wated to get into mobile picture editing, then they should have done it right and and spent more time on it. They also need to embrace other services such as Flickr and not create their own online photo storage service which is pants.

If you have used it, what do you think? You can’t say I’m wrong now can you?

Digital imaging will become more accessible in the near future – this may sound like something from a sci-fi movie but when looking at the technology market as a whole, you can grasp that big changes are taking place and technology is growing very fast and quick. Now Tablet computing is really kicking off and Not only Apple and Google, but Microsoft are also announcing their new tablet next week using Windows 8. Soon, like mobiles, people will carry these around everywhere and so more and more image manipulation applications are being built to manage and edit your pictures on the move.

Photoshop CS6 will be out soon but what will be the difference? I think adobe Photoshop has reached such a state that Adobe can’t really make any significant advances because it is already very good and an extremely well built package. If this is the case, what will be the next step?

I think it will have something to do with mobile image editing. smart phones and tablets are the next big thing and I think Adobe will start to invest heavily in to mobile operating systems and build robust applications for all users to use!

If your lucky enought to ahve the new iPad thenthere are 3 new apps which have been launcehd all uin theaim to bring outthe craetive side in you! They allow virtual painting, mixing colours and image viewing and together are known as Photoshop touch, complimenting Photoshop CS5.

The first app called colour lava will turn your iPad into a virtual mixing palette, so you can mix swirl and do whatever youneed to by just using your fingertips. Colours and swatches can be saved by tapping any colour as they are saved on your desktop photoshop.

The Eazel app allows you to flick electronic paint on it by just imploring your fingers onto the canvas, your iPad screen. Your arty creation will look just like the real thing!

And finally,Nav, an app for those designers who have loads of files open all at once. Its a ttolbox which allows you to open an additional 200 documents – all at the same time!

For these particular apps to work you need the latest version of Photoshop.

It takes years to become good at Photoshop. Note that I didn’t say master but said good. Photoshop is a great tool but a tough one to become a pro at. Lots of people claim to be pro’s but they have only gone through a few tutorials and claim to be ace at thh program.

There are so many advance options and features in Photohop which you have likely never heard of so don’t claim to be good at Photoshop until you actually are. When youbegin to realise you don’t know Photoshop well, that’s when you are really becoming good.

High Quality HD pictures coming to mobile phones

As we are moving into a the new generation of phones, camera and photo quality is one thing consumers need to have as to save them selves from carrying a digital camera. Well the time is now very near because High Quality HD pictures coming to mobile phones.

This is awesome news for most people but the bad news? The phones are going to be very pricey and out of reach for most people and especially students.

If you’re willing to go onto a 24 month contract, then you will get a decent price. But who’s willing for a 24 month contract?

Photoshop CS6 is on the horizon

When it comes to digital imagery and photo editing, the tool every single person uses (if you don’t get lost) is Adobe Photoshop. There are others some users use such as packages from Serif, GIMP, Corel etc. but sooner or later they all come back to Adobe Photoshop as they realise that it just makes life far more easier and simpler.

Now CS5 was just released so why am I talking about CS6? Well we all know Adobe well and they seem to be releasing a new version of Photoshop every year or so thus we can expect a new CS6 in the coming 6-10 months!

Photomatix and HDR photography

If you are into photography there is a good chance that you have seen what is called HDR before. You know those strangely good looking pictures with very high dynamic range (that’s where hdr comes from)? The basis is simple, you ask you camera to take 3 shots in a row with two having a very high or low exposure.

The second part is two import those shots in a software that will merge then for you. The best and most commonly used at the moment is called Photomatix. It is a very simple yet fully featured software that gives great results. Try it out!

It’s all about the lighting! Thats right, it’s all about the lighting.

Getting enough light into your cameras lense is very important if you want the sharpest of images.

Using your cameras flash doesn’t count as light!

If you are in the sun, don’t take a shot into the shade, try and get loads of light without flares to mess up your shots.

How delay(1) can help your design skills, you might be wondering what this is, but it’s a simple tool in Flash action script that allows the seemless transition of effects between time frames.

Think of it as twining but a bit more complex.
