Adobe have done so well with Photoshop that although there are many other great image editing programs out there, people have been blinded to only see Photoshop. Not only that, but people have become to accustomed to using Photoshop that they are afraid to use other packages and going through the education of learning the different styles and techniques of the packages.

If you are a proficiant user of Photoshop, why stop there? Try other packages and you might be quite surprised and might move onto the other packages permanently! Try it before you deny it.

It might only be September, but before you know it, festive items will start to appear on the shelves of stores up and down the High Street, and if you’re looking to be a little more creative with your Christmas cards this year, now is as good a time as any to start thinking about getting to work on your own unique creations.

Whilst they’re thankfully received, we all get sick of receiving the same old style of Christmas cards year after year, and if you want to spare yourself the guilt of being one of these culprits, creating your own personalised cards is the way forward.

Whether you choose to create cards bearing stunning snowy scenery, a personal portrait or another wild and wonderful idea, all you will need is a good camera, editing software such as Photoshop and a printer to make Christmas that little bit more personal for your loved ones this year.

As well as giving you the opportunity to unleash your creative side, personalised Christmas cards could also help you to save money- and you won’t be lining the pockets of those pricey retailers.

Start thinking about your creative Christmas card crusade today and you will be ready for the festive season with plenty of time to spare.

Yes you heard (or should I say read..) me correct. This is of course an achievement on their end but really thinking about it do consumers really want to spend thousands of pounds more on a camcorder that isn’t going to give the real picture but just make the image look more crisp and cool?

I’ll leave that decision to you…

This is true in one sense only, which is that it’s probably the best image editing program out there!

There are many good pieces of software out there. Some of these are listed below:

Paint Shop Pro

Corel Draw

Serif Photoplus

Adobe Fireworks

There are a few more but these are the more popular ones. Getting used to Adobe Fireworks and Photoshop will allow you to take your image editing skills to the next level!

In the last year, there has been a huge advance in technology relating the mobile phones.

One such aspect is the quality of the camera on mobile phones.

We had 3 mega pixels last year which was out of this world. Then came 5 mega pixels and now we have 8 mega pixels!

People predict that in the following year, photos taken on a mobile phone will be the same quality of that on Digital Cameras and SLRs… OK, not the SLR bit!

But these new phones will probably be out of the budget of most people. I iPhone will probably have new model with a 5+ MP.

Do you have photos that need restoration, colorized or enhanced? Take the time to touch up your photo(s) with digital tools to bring your old photos back to life.

What is Digital Imaging?

Just imagine turning a photo into a drawing. Then a artist comes over and fills in all the missing parts. He covers in all the cracks and lines. Then he might add some extra color. Well that is Digital Imaging. Except instead of turning your photo into a drawing you scan it into a computer and the artist uses a mouse instead of paints.

What you can do to your old photos?

The sky’s the limit! You can colorize black and white photos, draw in missing pieces, remove or add people to a photo, change backgrounds, glamorize, remove scratches and rips, just about anything you can think of.
