Is Digital Imaging for the Photographer or Geek?

This is a big debate whose conclusion is simple, but not acceptable to many.
Digital imaging involves using computers and some complicated software which is not for the beginner who generally doesn’t use computers.
Many professional photographers have lost their business to less experienced photographers who use computers day in day out.
You can see that more and more traditional jobs require computers without which, all is lost.
Now back to the main question, I’m sure you would agree that digital imaging is for the Geek and the traditional photographer will not agree on this fact!
